vet shaved off all hair. could this cause a health problem?

She was more than a plaything. She was a real friend capable of showing me love and companionship. She enriched my life in a way that I can’t explain to those who tell me she was “just” a pet. My situation is such that I can’t take on the responsibility of another pet-I’ve heard that helps dealing with pet loss. I have health problems that may require me to return to the nursing home-long-term this time. I had 4 strokes at age 43, and Precious had a way of keeping me from giving up. I knew she was waiting on me to get better and come home to her.

Thank you to all of you who answered my questions regarding my cat’s health. His name was Willy and I sensed a genuine concern from many of you.
It breaks my heart to say that today we had to put Willy down. He was getting worse due to a sudden liver problem that began 2 wks ago. The vet did what he could do but nothing seemed to work for him. I took him home with me for 2 days…He was in no way the cat I have known and loved for the past 12 yr due to his illness. I knew I could no longer keep him here with me ….I kept hoping that he miraculously would come out of this sickness and be “Willy” again…but that didn’t happen.. I knew , for his sake, I had to let him go…and as painful as it was ( and is) I did.. We brought him back home and buried him in our yard. He is missed already and our hearts are broken with the loss. This illness came on so suddenly, I can’t believe yet what’s happened.

My older female is 2 1/2 years old and fixed. My younger female is 8 months old and not fixed but they are VERY close. Today my husband accidently stepped on my younger female paw (happens all the time) and my older cat got really mad. Mad to the point that all of a sudden the 2 got into a MAJOR cat fight. We now have the older one in a kennel that I have attatched to a very large box so she can have her litter, food, water, and a few toys to comfort her. But we dont know what could have happened. She is acting like she is mad at the world. No one can go near her at all now. Since the vets are all closed today, what else can I do for her? I was able to examine her to check for blood (didnt find any) but we used really thick gloves for that. Im so worried. She is my baby girl. This has me in tears. She is in good health and was in a really good mood until that point. The younger cat is now scared to death as well.
