A few weeks ago I posted a question about my new kitten, Landon, who refuses to use the litter box. So many people suggested that we switch to the Feline Pine, so we did. At first it seemed extremely hopeful, when I was pouring the litter in, he sat and acted like he was extremely interested in the new stuff. However, when it came time to use the bathroom, he went to his usual spot(s). His bill of health is clean, he’s neutered, he’s not mentally incompetent, so, honestly, I can’t find a reason for him to not use the litter box. We adopted him through a program called No More Homeless Pets and his foster mom said that he was litter trained. I’m unsure of what to do now. All three of our cats are indoor only, it’s healthier on them, and I refuse to put him outside. I have a mentally incompetent cat that can not use the litter box and we use puppy diapers on her. It works fairly well and I was considering doing the same thing with my kitten. Not as a permanent solution, mind you, just something to let him feel his own mess and whenever we clean it, bring his mess to the litter box and have him watch us place it in there. If anyone has any better solutions, they would be greatly appreciated!

,,, the last attack was last week and I had to be taken into hospital in an ambulance as I could barely move with the pain which was unbelievably excruciating and quite a shock. I have never called an ambulance before – I am 44 and in reasonably good health.
They have given me an ultrasound and identified a gallbladder problem (sludge not stones) as far as they can see and a widening of a duct (or a vein) feeding the pancreas
The doctors have been confusing and I have one doctor I see all the time.
I have a Cat scan schedules for tomorrow
My pain has subsided and I was even put on Oxycontin for the weekend by stopped taking it and started taking bland foods and feel ok
My question is: on my internet research I have discovered that after two or three gallbladder attacks docs generally advice gallbladder removal and I would be happy with this.
Do you agree with this conclusion that I have gleaned from various websites?
I would hate them to see me looking relatively OK on the day of the CAT scan and just glibly send me home with emergency narcotic painkillers which can be a nightmare
Should I elect for a gallbladder removal if they seem too blase on the day.
I have a meeting with a GI specialist right after the Cat scan and then another meeting with my GP the following day and they are all in the same hospital.
On a scale of 1 to 10 my pain last Thursday was a 9 and I never want to go through it again so as far as I can see gallbladder removal seems the only way to go?
Any clinicians here can offer any advice or people who have had similar experiences with gallbladder attacks – I would be so grateful to hear from you as well as people who have gone through a similar thing with maybe friends or relatives.
Thanks in advance

I would like a basic package for three dogs. Every pet insurance I find, is like $16 for one dog. I need something for three that is just a basic package. My dogs don’t have any health problems. I just want it for basic check-ups
