Hi, I’m interested in getting myself a dog after christmas, but as I haven’t got a big place and it would only be my first dog that I have independently owned I was looking at miniature/toy size dogs or not a great deal bigger.
I don’t mind if its pedigree or cross breed, as long as its affectionate, loyal, easy to train, isn’t riddled with potential health problems, and cute. (i like longer haired dogs with floppy ears but im open to any suggestions!)
Thankyou, fire away :)

I would appreciate some advice. I am 407lb gentleman who has recently been through a divorce, my wife has taken all my 5 kids away from me. My only source of nutrition is the grease I can lick off my skin and whatever I can find in my bellybutton. The council has recently moved the busstop where I live, and I can’t find it. My laptop and only form of accessing the internet has been stolen by a lady who collects stray cats. To add to all my problems, I have recently been sectioned under the mental health act.
Is there anyone out there who can PLEASE help me???

Another question on dog food. I am looking for a good food for my st bernard and border collie. I also would like to be able to find a cat food of the same brand…so I can buy them at the same stores! I really don’t want food with corn in it because animals, of all shapes and sizes don’t digest food, and because of the dangers of molds/toxins in corn (aflatoxins, etc) it’s just not worth the risk. Also, I really don’t want glutens, as they are highly allergenic, and our border collie has enough skin problems as it is. So my question is, is it really that big of a deal if there is corn in the food or not, or am I just making something out of nothing? Also give you me your takes on dog/cat foods, what you use, and what is affordable? I bought a bag of merricks when we first got our st bernard, it was all we could get her to eat…but it is $50 for 30 pounds…OUTRAGEOUS…buy my dog seems to be a health nut!

Well, I’m not allowed a dog at the moment, but some time in the future when I’ve settled down and got enough money and time, I might get a dog. Or maybe even two if it goes well and I want to give him company.
I’ll probably live on my own.
I probably won’t live in a hugely big place.
I probably won’t live with any other pets, though maybe a cat, after the dog maybe.
I would be looking for a good companion, who would be a lovely friend and would greet me home with a smile.
Hopefully one who isn’t too aggressive, and is friendly to other people.
One that is willing to be trained and not difficult to do things with.
Not one with lots of health problems, like the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
I don’t really mind the size, but hopefully medium-ish at the biggest as large dogs can be rather expensive.
I don’t mind about their coat care, but not one that requires specialist coat trims a billion times a year, like a poodle or something. I actually would like it to shed a little bit.
Sorry about all those requirements, I know no dog is perfect. Some of them I will be willing to comprimise. No dog is perfect :]
