I have a 4 month old kitten. At 3 mo. he was taken to the vet w/ a 104 temp, diarrhea, & vomitting. All tests were negative. He was given antibiotics & we were told he probably wasnt going to live. He’s been tested for Lukemia/Aids/worms/ everything. All tests were negative. We nursed him back to health & he came back spunkier than ever. Just this week he’s started having pink spots in his diarrhea (I believe is blood?), I’ve seen blood on the floor. No vomitting yet. He’s began urinating all over the house this week, which I thought was a urinary tract infection. All stool / urinary tests came back negative (means no UIT) from the vet today. Vet says maybe it’s just a GI problem, & is making me try a new food & deworm him & he must be relitter trained. Has anyone else ever had these symptoms with no answers / no positive test results? Please help, my fiance says the cat is on its way out.

I have a 3 year old pomchi (pomeranian/chihuahua) For about a week, I have noticed that it takes him a long time to find a place outside to go to the bathroom. He has recently been going inside for some reason. Anyways, whether that is just being picky or him trying to tell me something is wrong, I noticed something this morning. He went to the bathroom and his stool was a yellowish color and very dry. The wind blew and while it was coming out of him a big chunk broke into powder and blew away in the wind. When I further investigated, it looks like it has cinnamon sprinkled all over it too. I am not sure what is wrong. I called the emergency vet and they said to take a sample to my vet Monday. Here are some things for the answerer to know. He is healthy. He is up to date on all his shots. Any time he has ever had a problem we have had it taken care of. He has been very active and playful still. He has been drinking and eating plenty. I have one other dog and his stool is perfectly normal. We have not switched brands too recently. We are almost through a giant bag of Purina Nutrifit. Please help.
Some other things to add: We lost a cat a month ago. We had to have him euthanized because he started having difficulty breathing and they couldn’t palpitate his stomach. My vet thinks it was some sort of rapid cancer. Also, we have another cat acting funny. She keeps peeing on things and she struggles as though she has a urinary tract infection. We bought our house last July and our animals all seem to be having health issues. We have had to run 3 of our animals to the ER and it has cost us a fortune. We lost one and the current dog having a problem had bloody stool about six months ago and they couldn’t figure out what it was. Are these signs of possible lead poisoning or something else in my house I should be aware of. If not, why are my animals having so many problems and what is wrong with my dogs stool? Please Please serious answers and help ONLY. Otherwise I will report you. Thank you.

My 5 year old Rottweiler mix is currently eating Orijen Adult formula, which is one of the best brands of food out there and yet he’s still got loose stool. He used to eat Blue Buffalo, which isn’t as good as the Orijen, but his stool was firm.
Should I switch him back to a lesser quality food, or could this be indicative of a health problem?

I adopted this kitten four weeks ago, because i had already adopted her litter-mate and no one had taken her home yet. I adopted them from the vet, with a clean bill of health. but the little girl has constantly had bloddy, nasty diarhea ever since we got her. neither her brother nor our older cat have this. we took her back and they found a worm and prescribed meds. it isn;t working. we’re taking her back today. poor baby! she’s so sweet, but i’m pregnant and she is pooping everywhere. don;t know how much i can take! anyone have this problem? what was the diagnosis?

at the shelter he was treated for worms, ringworm, fleas, and earmites. he acts fine. the poop is like long strings of pudding, and i am used to seeing cats make “tootsie rolls” if you know what i mean! problem is that he steps in it as he turns in his cat box to cover it up…i have been feeding eagle brand dry food..hairball formula. with a tblsp of friskies wet in am and pm. when i stopped the wet it didnt make a difference. i just bouth science diet i/d (intestinal formula) on the advice of a friend. i will take him in to the vet again, but i wanted to try some home remedies first. he has been throughly checked recently and had no health issues. also i tried giving him a probiotic in his food for 2 weeks…no better. any ideas??
