Why do people say that Purina and Iams and other cheaper food are such good dog food. Then other peole say it’s not. Personally I don’t believe its the best, but will it really hurt my dog? We’ve had previous dogs who lived very long poductive lives with very cheap dog food. They never had many health problems either. I thought that the AAFCO was supposed to have done tests on it and proved it to be ok? So will it really hurt my dog or is it ok to get it for her?

Food Allergies And School, Is This Going Too Far? ?Posted by: Alan in Cat Health Problem, tags: Allergies, Food, Going, School, ThisMy son is about to start school next week and we just got back from our parent teacher meeting. This year there is a child in school that has an allergy to nuts/tree nuts. Therefore all nut products are banned from school. No big deal, we aren’t big peanut butter eaters and my son prefers cream cheese and jelly sandwiches. So it will not be a problem at all. But this part is. The parents of this child are now demanding that we not eat any peanut products or products manufactured in a plant that manufacture nut products. These people are actually telling us how to eat in our own homes. If I want to bake a batch of chocolate chip cookies for an after school snack for my kids, I can’t. If I eat a granola bar before picking up my son from school I have to shower and change clothes. These parents are refusing any type of compromise regarding the peanut products at home.

I have been told that dog foods with Corn, wheat, and soy as the base ingredients are horrible for dogs and can cause health problems in the future and possible allergy problems. So, What type of diet can I feed my dog that will help avoid Calcium Oxalate stones and will also avoid using corn, wheat and soy? |
