I mean if the color of an eye is tri-colored. i read in Cat Fancy magizine (in their health section) that if an eye is tri-colored (ie, green around the pupil, normal yellow color eye, then a dark gold around the outside) is a sign of disease. And I’ve never heard of such a thing, and wanted to see if anyone knew of such a thing.

I have heard that a white cat with one blue eye and one green eye could be deaf.

I have a sheltie and he is 13-years-old. He is an indoor dog, so he has not had over-contamination of the sun or pollution. He has never really had any serious health problems, either.

I don’t think this is possible. The eye can give hints about the cat’s health, but not by color. If the eyes are bright and clear, the cat is healthy. If the third eyelid is showing, the cat has health issues and needs to go to the vet. Some cats have eyes of different color, one blue and one gold, or one green and one gold. These are called “odd eyed”. (People can have this, too.) NO health problems associated with that. There are, however, deafness problems in some blue-eyed white cats.
