1. Millions of dogs live their whole lives in pounds.
2. Millions of dogs every year are put to sleep because there is not enough food or space to take care of them.
3. Just two dogs or cats can produce 4000 more animals every 5 years. (i mean with their offspring producing as well)
4. If you don’t take proper measures when breeding (perfect health, genetic testing, registration etc.) the pups can turn out to have problems, or faults to their breed.
5. Even if you only have one dog and think you don’t have to fix it, it could escape and breed or a dog could wander into your property and get/get it pregnant.
6. There are plenty of puppies in pounds. And half of those puppies might not even be adopted, spend their whole lives in the pound kennel, then get euthenized.

Hi, I’m interested in getting myself a dog after christmas, but as I haven’t got a big place and it would only be my first dog that I have independently owned I was looking at miniature/toy size dogs or not a great deal bigger.
I don’t mind if its pedigree or cross breed, as long as its affectionate, loyal, easy to train, isn’t riddled with potential health problems, and cute. (i like longer haired dogs with floppy ears but im open to any suggestions!)
Thankyou, fire away

im 15 my mom is pregnant and my parents are divorced and live in different states. im visiting my dad for the summer and my mom told me just now on the fone that she is giving my cat away that ive had since i was 5 away. she says it isnt good for her health or the baby but ik sooo many people who have had cats during their pregnancies and i told her that and she said when you have a house and a family you can make your own rules but we are getting rid of the cat! and so i said fine if you get rid of the cat then im not coming home.
so then she told me fine w.e your cell fone is getting turned off..it’ll be off by tomorrow and dont bother coming back. so i told her if she gave my cat away i would never talk to her again and i really truley mean it because shes taking it to an adoption place where it will have 2 weeks to be bought then they’ll kill him!! i feel bad exploding on her since shes pregnant. but she doesnt have the right to just give away my cat like that!!
do you agree with me? idk what to do. all ik is that if i cant keep my cat and she gives it away then im not coming home and im not talking to her anymore.
which i dont mind because i have a very controling “step dad” not even technecally hes just my moms bf but he is ALWAYS into my buisness and thinks im some bad kid that does drugs and sleeps around which im not!! idk im sick of it! but i want to come back and live with my mom because i have great friends there and i move so much im just tired of it.
please help me!
thanks for your time. i just realy neeed to hear what other people think

I just adopted a 1yr old female beagle mix from an animal shelter. All was fine the first day I brought her home (Monday). Tuesday night she began to show the following symptoms: did not want to eat after about 2 pm… hard breathing and then began to make a “hacking/ coughing” sound as if she was going to throw up but nothing came out.
Wednesday, symptoms got worse. She ate very little and hacking/coughing symptoms became worse and when she pooped, it was watery (brownish) but had blood only when she finished.
Thursday (today, thanksgiving) hacking coughing gets worse when she stands up. she breaths hard (stomach puffs up down) before coughing/ hacking begins… tries to throw up but nothing comes out. There are no vets where I live…but finally got a hold of one 50 miles away…will take her ASAP.
Not that I will wait for a response before I take her to the vet but anyone have any ideas what is going on with this dog?
For the record, I called the Shelter and they said it was “probably” the change in diet (food) or seperation anxiety/depression. No previous medical problems reported. Please help

She is a beautiful Siberian husky female. she is good with cats and children. she has all of the current shots, including the rabies vaccine. she is spayed and is a healthy girl. she has blue eyes and is purebred husky. you can even place her in a dog show she is 10 months old. she has potential. the reason that i am selling her is because of family problems. sorry i cannot ship her because i think it will harm her health. i live in white salmon, WA (around the hood river, OR or Portland, OR area) you can have a local pickup or we can meet in a place that makes our trips shorter. the price is negotiable so if you are interested let me know I’m flexible
if you are interested in seeing her through your computer email me at myrsantana@yahoo.com and just give me your email address and I will send you TONS of pictures that i have taken of this gorgeous husky. if you have further questions let me know
