Omega-3 Improves Your Pet Health

First off I am not planning on breeding a dog/cat, I don’t even own one but I was talking with a friend of mine about pet ownership and she said she heard ( she wasn’t sure from who) that its healthier and best to have a female dog produce one litter and then neuter them rather than neuter without having puppies. I disagreed and said it shouldn’t affect the health or happiness of the dog if she was neutered and didn’t have a litter. Are there any Vet’s or Breeders that know and why or why not? I know about pet overpopulation and am not advocating it I was just wondering about this question so please don’t start attacking me or preaching, I just want an honest answer and to dispel this myth if it is one. (Sorry but I asked this of a pet site and got *yelled* at and accused of trying to push ‘puppy mill’ pregnancies and being part of the pet overpopulation problem’, etc. etc.

i filled out a application for a dog at the local spca. they called and told me that they had some dogs, but they had health problems. Am i wrong for not wanting the dog. ???? My reason is we suffered a family lost this year, and i don’t think it would be fair to put myself and my kids through that if this dogs ends up passing away.

Short situation here.
I feed my cats (I have 3) twice a day regularly. But they have started to get the idea that they will meow and meow and meow to get my attention and give them food. This wouldn’t bug me so much, but they’ve started bugging me 3 hours or so before their feeding time. It’s ridiculous!
All of the cats are healthy, and lack of food is by no means a problem. All cats are indoor, and they’ve had all their shots, so I’m sure it’s not a health issue. And I can’t ignore it, because they will continue to pester me all day, and that really isn’t fair to them. Problem is though, by feeding them, it seems like I’m “encouraging” the bad behaviour.
My first instinct was to get out the squirt bottle (since cats don’t like water) but I don’t want to negativly reinforce someting. I just want them to wait for their food instead of bugging everyone who walks downstairs.

I rarely get seasonal allergies. But am allergic to dust mites, dogs, cats, horses, and johnson grass (none of which I have been exposed to long term–at least I don’t think). I know it’s not a cold, because I don’t feel sick…just–on occasion–itchy eyes and mostly runny nose. Nothing I take abates the symptons. I’ve tried clariton, pseudoephedrine, even benedril’s effectiveness is limited. Could this be a sign of another serious problem? If so, what? (I would go to the dr., but no health insurance).

First and for most yes I have vocally expressed my feelings about this to her with little to no results or compromise on her end.
Here is the back story on this as short as possible for the past 6 years and 11 months I have been the sole provider for the family, I have no problems with this but with my wife staying at home the whole time I expected a certain level of responsibility on her end as I would her expect it from me.
Needless to say it just about everyday I would come home and have a pile of dishes in the sink (which I would do as well as laundry piled up in the bathroom and unless I took them down to the laundry room it would just keep getting higher and higher. With that said her definition of doing laundry is washing them in the washer drying them in the dryer and throwing them on the laundry table in a big pile of clothes. The house would never get cleaned except for a brief period where she was excited about her robot floor cleaner (that has long been gone). I gave her some slack because we do have three children (2 school aged, one not) and I did on top of helping her out (basically keeping the house clean) the so called “Man Only” duties of taking out the trash picking up the dog business and HER cats business
So in November I get laid off and I decide with my wife she should go back to school because we have some savings and I was able to collect unemployment that we would be alright.
So now the roles reverse and I step up to the plate the house is typically always clean (maybe needs a vacuum here or there), beds are always made, laundry is cleaned and folded, no dishes in the sink or anything all with the same work load of children
So now with the economy still slumping I am yet to find employment and I decided to go back to school (because an Honorable USAF Vet and Bachelors with a 3.53 GPA) just isn’t enough to keep a job anymore.
With me attending full time as well as her still I still find that I am the only one pulling the work load at home. It is really starting to stress me out and cause me to loss my temper rather quickly. I don’t know what else to do I vocalize my opinions to her and she just doesn’t care or tells me I’m all wrong and she does yadedadeda which God has blessed her with the Gift of Gab so by the time she starts and finished I’m so confused I just walk away more frustrated then I went in.
Sorry it is so long but I really just don’t know what to do I love my three children but I just can’t live like this, what would you do if you were in my shoes?
