You can see my cat’s 2 upper insicors (the long pointy teeth), on both sides while its mouth is closed! They go over the bottom teeth and come out in between his lips. Is this a problem to his health? How do I know if it bothers him? HELP! Jonathan and Mr Overbite—Dexter.

My cat has an overbite as well, she was an orphan kitten that I bottle fed for 12 weeks, so she really has some bite going on, if she were a male I would have called her Bucky. If you are concerned about the health and condition of your cats mouth I would definately recommend that you speak with your veterinarian and see what he/she has to say. Good Luck.

I doubt this is a health concern. There are people with overbites or underbites and I’m not aware of it causing any problems.

I wouldn’t worry about it to much. If you are concerned about his teeth, have the vet check them. Some breeds of cats are typically more vocal. I have seen lots of animals like this and they do fine. Good Luck.

If he constantly meows, like, I mean NEVER ever stops unless he is sleeping, it hurts him. My cat has it too, don’t worry its just the way its born. This is what my veterinarian said when i asked her.
