I found a cat. He’s an adult male, declawed front, nuetered. Very underweight. What I’m concerned about is his clicking jaw. He seems to be eating well and has no problem with wet cat food. But his jaw clicks. Of course he’s under quarentine until we get a clean bill of health from the Vet on Monday. He just seems very hungry, and his jaw clicks. We are trying not to get too attached, because the Vet is going to check for a microchip. Obviously, if he’s fixed and declawed, he belongs to someone. But, in the mean time, what should I do about the jaw clicking?

Could be a jaw hinge problem or possible a broken Jaw. Nothing much to do until the kitty sees the vet. You are a good person for taking him in and taking care of him.

    he might have tmj

just make sure to have soft food available for him incase the jaw clicking hurts so much he cannot eat dry food. the vet will tell you what to do when you take him there.
