Why Won’t My Cat Stop Meowing?
Posted by: Alan in Cat Health Problem, tags: Meowing, Stop, Won't
She’s an older cat but still in good health, and we have never had problems with her. But for some reason, in the past 3 weeks or so, she has been meowing incessantly! All night. All day. We let her outside, she sits there and meows at the door. We let her inside and get the same result. And if you know cats, you know they have different kind if meows-sometimes if she has been meowing for awhile, she starts doing this weird one like she’s being abused or something. We know nothing is wrong with her health. She just won’t shut up!! It’s getting super annoying and we don’t know what her problem is.

Some cats are just naturally very vocal, heck mine is!
Try giving her something to focus her attention on, such as a new toy or try (if she eats dry food) putting some of the biscuits in a puzzle ball, that will only dispense them if she bats it around. Keep her occupied.
Another reason could be she’s just attention seeking. Yes, as you probably know…cats do this often. Give her lots of fuss periodically.
I would also suggest that if it continues, take her to the vet just to make sure there’s nothing causing her any discomfort or an underlying health issue.
Good luck, hope this helped.

Do you have another cat?Is or was there another animal in the house? My cat meows constantly, and with what ur saying it sounds like she misses something or someone, like my cat does. i used to own 2 cats, and they loved each other, played everyday. but then one of the cats ran away, and now the other one is constantly meowing, and this is because he misses his brother.
