Why Is My Cat’s Stomach Hard On The Sides?
Posted by: Alan in Cat Health Problem, tags: Cat's, Hard, Sides, Stomach
I have a 9 year old indoor cat who has never had any health problems. The other day i went to pick her up and she wouldn’t let me, when i touched her it was hard all on the sides of her stomach. My dad says if we take her to the vet it’s to put her down. I don’t want to put my cat down, is there anything i can do to help her? Why is my cat’s stomach hard on the sides? Over the past year she has gained weight. 2 years old she had a problem going to the washroom in her kitty litter she would alwasys just go where she wanted. My cat throws up sometimes when we go on 2 day tips because she is lonely. And this week I didn’t have a lot of time for eher and she was lonely and threw up. I thought she threw up because she was lonely but now i am worried that she is sick. Please help. I don’t want to have to put down my cat. Is it just bloating? Or is it serious?

Could be a number of things. From what you’ve described, it sounds very serious. The only way you could know the cause is if you took it to the vet. maybe try talking to your dad to see if you could take it to the vet for just a physical exam (shouldn’t be very expensive) and they can give you more of an idea of what may be going on.

She seems really sick. Only a doctor can tell you what’s best for her. Maybe she is in a lot of pain and i think you should take her to the doctor right away. The doctors don’t put pets to death unless you allow them to. Also the process is very painless even though it sucks alot losing a friend.

She may be pregnant if she’s not fixed. If she is fixed you have to take her to the vet or she could die. There could be something really wrong with her.
