I have not noticed any adverse effects in my female cat. She just does not go into heat and has no kittens.

Neutered males do have a very slightly higher risk of urinary tract issues. It’s not nearly as high a risk as not having him neutered. Cats of either sex who receive regular vet care and eat a high quality diet have a lower risk of developing health issues.

They are both the same. All the same illness

Either one, depending on the genetic make up of the cat. Will it be an indoor only or go outside. Indoor only will be a healthier cat, not prone to diseases and fights and being the wild life prey also there are cruel humans out there. But you have to make a commitment to keep the the yearly vet check ups. This won’t say that problems won’t pop up but in the long run the vet will be able to help you. Building a good relationship with your vet is very important for the health of your cat. And let the cat pick you.

If you feed proper food which means no dry food then there is no difference between the sexes as far as health
If you do feed dry then the one extra bad thing is for males as they will be prone to blockages

It is true that male cats are more prone to urinary tract infections than female cats, but it’s also true that it’s the cat’s diet that seems to cause urinary tract issues – feeding dry food is the culprit. If you feed canned food, chances of getting a uti is greatly reduced.
In general, I don’t think there’s any difference due to gender.

The main reason causes cats’ urinary system problem is they don’t drink enough water, but it also causes from bad quality food, stress, litter or own metal owner, such as doesn’t like to go potty often . But besides those things, male or female is not a matter because cats aren’t the same. The fact is how you & your family treat them, what environment they live, food quality, as well as the cat’s personality, background, how well he/she be will people and other animals, and how she handle indoor or outdoor .
Also, if you adopt one is positive for the feline leukemia virus, which is a highly contagious viral disease. The virus can be transmitted to other cats through sharing food dishes, water bowls and litter boxes. But since the disease is contagious, a home without other cats or a home with only other feline leukemia positive cats would be best.
In/ outdoor is a matter. Please keep up to date on the vaccinations. If you choose a cat as outdoor, adopt one who has front paws nails since this can help for defensing from other street cats, also give her/him Feline Leukemia vaccine.
My cat has a lot of accident lately while she is stilling using little box. I had no idea what happened to her, I went to a vet and still got no answer. I assumed her didn’t drink enough water and started feeding her some canned food again. I mix with a blow of warm water and a half canned food, also a 1/3 cup of Taste of the Wild a day(She has been on that since I adopted her last year. She eats them all!! Great!! She is now using the litter box and has no accident for 4 days.
If you really wanna adopt one, please feed him/her some wet food.
