What are some good 6th grade dog or health science fair ideas?

Please I need something, I want to do it on dogs but I want it to be really cool! I would also like to do it on health, Im allergic to nuts so if any ideas about allergies or something! Please HELP ME!

effects of smoking on your heart and lungs! or coffee effects the heart and makes your heart race and it causes you to get really hiper!

Why not do it on allergies, say food allergies in dogs? Usually it is turkey and grains.
Or, the full cycle of heart worms in canines from the intial introduction of the eggs into the dogs body through all stages up to fully mature worms in the dogs’ heart. I think you can find as much information as you would want or need online with searches and you might even be able to talk to your Vet about borrowing the clinic’s model of a bisected heart with worms.

allergies is a REALLY good one. lots of dogs have allergies. Corn is a big one… as well as the main ingredient in a lot of dog foods. some have protein allergies, my pit has a chicken allergy and i have to feed him a lamb and rice food.

One experiment that was done at my old school and that won 3rd (i think) place was…Which Dog Treat do Dogs Like Best? and another one was…Does The Size of A Dog Affect It’s Sense of Smell?

What about a really good poster on parasites like worms? There are several different types of worms in canines and you could make some really neat models out of spaghetti and other pastas to glue to the poster. Then you could tell about wormers and their importance in canine care.
We had a kid actually dissect a part of a hog his family was butchering and preserve the parasites to put on a poster for4H this year. It was awesome. gross but awesome. I am one of the three judges, and I voted for him as best in show.
