I am 19 year old college student who really has had good health throughout my life. Back in November I was hospitalized due to heart pain, which they chalked up to being paracarditis. A few weeks later the pain went away and I was pain free until February. Since February I have had pain just under the area where my arm and chest meet on the left side. At times I also get a kind of minor numbness pain in my left arm, as well as a weird feeling as if I was excited, and need to catch my breath for a second, like 4 times a month at least. I have gone to all kinds of doctors and gotten all kinds of tests, all of which show I have perfect health and provide no answers. I’ve gotten EKGs, Ecocardio Grams, a Cat Scan or MRI forgot which one, and tried various medicines (mainly anti inflammatory because they thought it was residual inflammation which it was not). I’ve never had anything like this before, and I’m pretty sure no heart problems run in my family other than the occasional high blood pressure relative, and maybe one with a heart murmur. I do get bad cases of heart burn from time to time but have been taking Protonix for a while now to deal with that. Any thoughts, or possible answers??

Difficult to reach a conclusion as Viruses are responsible for above condition as yours. Since all your tests are negative it can be considered as X syndrome, but not Cardiac X syndrome, Your require the services of an expert Cardiac Surgeon.

The MRI is the one with the bike helmet and the mirror, the big round thing and lots of really heavy duty bonging going on they ask you to bring a cd so you can listen to your own music between the bonging and remain relaxed.
What you need to be aware of is the response that your heart pain produces in others. At 19 you need to be looking after yourself doing exercise and going to rock concerts. You may well have set up the rest of your family to provide you with the little sick boy response. This can also affect you so you sit around waiting for the miracle cure and feed on the concern of others
Every time we deal with heart pains and strange rhythms / beats there are two possible outcomes death /non death. As the Dr’s tests and your presence indicates non death I would buy some ear plugs and get some tickets to a concert.
