okay well my dog is name bob and he just had allergic reaction but he got a shot and i gave him some benadryl so everything is fine know, but i always want to ask something on here but forget to, he has a problem with his feet, he always licks and nibbles and bites on his feet and they are all red and rashy, this has been going on for a while, the vet gave us spray but hasnt work, they even gave us lotion for his back to not itch because they thought that his back was itchy so he couldnt reach it so he would bit on his feet. Anyone have any name medications i can consider to my vet that would help my dog, because he is really bothered from it. i have a pug and he is 1 year and a half old, and his name is bob, alot of pug owners say pug’s have alot of allergies, any suggestions please?

try changing food,
do not use carpet powder etc. on your carpet
call your breeder for advice ( only if reputable)

My boxer had a bad itching problem for years. I heard about a product called Dinovite on the radio and bought some. It worked almost instantly. It is a dietary supplement. I mix it in with some of that dog food gravy stuff because he is not crazy about the taste….but it has worked great.

Real food, no commercial crap. Not too much protein, chicken is good tho and vegies. sardines, whitebait and tuna and fish oils EVERYDAY. Vitamin c everyday (anti-histimine), cod liver oil cap everyday or evening primrose oil cap everyday. do not shampoo youre dog with anything but water and bathe the skin with an oatmeal stocking until the allergies dissapear. My dog had a reaction to a shot and had allergies and you can keep giving medication for the rest of its life or you can adopt a natural approach, like what I did, takes time but results so worth it. My vet gave me the best diet plan and Ive never loooked back. Look up http://www.barfworld.com I have a staffy and they too have skin allergies. Ive researched this for ages so if you want any more info send me an email. Good luck.

If he is always licking or nibbling his feet and they are red and rashy I would recommend taking him back to your vet. Bob may be allergic to something that you have in your house. It also may be his food that is making him itchy, he may have a food allergy. Only your vet can give the best answer to what medications that Bob can take to feel better. My suggestion is, take Bob into the vet so he can properly diagnose his conditon and start medications so that Bob can feel better.
Also, if you live in a cold climate and rock salt is being laid down to keep the ice at bay can cause irritation in paw pads. I use paw wax on my puppy’s paw pads to protect them from the elements. $7.99 at PetSmart.

This one is complicated. I have a rottweiler who was doing the same thing, it took me forever to figure out why. The answer is: obsessive compulsive disorder. Yep, just like people, dogs can have psychological disorders too! They gnaw at their paws when they have nothing else to do. If your vet cannot give you a medical reason for what your pug is doing then try to distract him with other activities so he won’t be so anxious
Most of the time they get OCD from being bored. My vet told me I can medicate my dog or try putting socks on him to discourage the behavior. Extra long walks and socks at night helped a ton
